Lean Beef

Sure they say that fat is flavor, but how much is too much?  Typically lean been would be the preferable way to go if you were to have a steak dinner. However the beef fat content in a piece of meat would be comparable to that of a bag of potato chip, or some process cheese dip. The difference between beef fat and that of a bag of chip or processed cheese dip; beef fat is all natural.  Think about it, all humans have a certain fat content, that is made up of food, nutritional and not so nutritional.  But cows tend to stick to a “green-only” diet, which means their fat is not made up of potato chips nor processed cheese dips.  Beef fat is typically stored on the meatier part of the cow, so if you were to cook yourself a chuck steak of some other type of cut from  the mid section of the cow, this piece will have a higher content of beef fat.

If you are trying to cut down on beef fat you might find in a typical mid section cut, you can always opt for a piece of lean beef, which can mostly be found of the ends of the cow.  They are more muscular, thus they tend to be a little tougher but most certainly has a larger amount of lean beef.  In moderation lean beef can be eaten as often as other meats.  The benefits to lean beef is that you get the same flavor, but will not suffer from the higher content of fat you may find in meat. Lean beef or not so lean beef, the benefits of eating meat still outweighs that of not eating beef at all.
